This species is from Lang Son, in Northern Vietnam.  Lang Son is a city and a province, and I’m unsure whether this plant is from the city or somewhere else in the province.  It has one of the most compact growth habits of any rhizomatous Begonia I’ve grown and will grow half a dozen leaves no more than 2″ in length to fill a 2″ pot beautifully.
