Marcgravia rectiflora has been in cultivation for over a decade, long before the ‘Marcgravia wave’ hit. It is native to Cuba and perhaps the easiest Marcgravia to grow. It is tolerant of a wide range of conditions and grows very quickly over a background or piece of wood. There are two species of Marcgravia in some of the images below, only the larger, greener one is rectiflora. The other is sp. Round Peru.
