This Marcgravia is very rare, and has only become recently available in the hobby. It came labeled as aff. coriacae ‘Melon’ and is from Ecuador. So far it has been one of the slowest species to grow. This stunning Marcgravia is newer to cultivation and maintains the wonderful melon (think cantaloupe) color with maturity. It is a smaller Marcgravia species with leaves around 1/4 inch. The stem is a ruby-pink, and leaves are edged in green.
