This cultivar has been around for at least 20 years now! It is not very common but holds it’s original name. Nautilocalyx pictus can be found in the Guianas, Colombia, and Northern Brazil. This fast-growing Gesneriad produces butter-yellow blooms and is easy to grow. It does great in terrariums and seems tolerant of a wide variety of conditions so long as temperatures are moderate (60-80) and humidity is high. The leaves are rather thin, and have a large swath of silver down the center, with silver leaf venation.
