This Selaginella will form little ‘shelves’ off the ground, forming a dense carpet. It reminds me of how some coral grows.  Like other Selaginellas, it will display the nicest growth habits when grown on clay. I do not grow plants in clay to ship out as the media is too heavy and messy to ship plants in safely, but for long term Selaginella care it works very well.  I recommend Akadama or any silty *unfired* clay.  I do not have information on where this plant originates.

Available plants are well rooted in 2″ pots.  They will be shipped potted.  The last photo is representative of the plants available.
