Schoenorchis scolopendria
$36
Commonly referred to as the millipede orchid, this species will wrap compactly around a piece of wood. It does not require or particularly like moss around it’s roots and seems to prefer to be mounted bare root so it can dry out between waterings. It has seemed most happy when it gets some mild air circulation, dries out for a day or so between waterings, and then gets a dousing with light fertilizer. It is native to Vietnam and has small magenta flowers. Definitely one to grow for the foliage.
Available plants are mounted. The last picture is representative of the plants available.
