Eurychone rothschildiana
$32
A rarer species that is found in Ghana, Guinea, Ivory Coast, Liberia, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Togo, Gabon, Zaire and Uganda. I have read mixed things about it’s temperatures preference, with some sources saying it favors intermediate conditions, and others saying it favors warm. I grow it with highs of 75-80F in the winter and 85F in the summer, with nighttime drops 5-8 degrees below high temps. It occurs in evergreen forests at 1100-1200 metres asl. Flowers are a beautiful pale green in the center, and white at the edges.Â
Syn. Angraecum rothschildianum O’Brien 1903
Available plants are well rooted in 2″ pots and over a year old.
