Bulbophyllum reticulatum
$42
This species has perhaps the most interesting foliage in the entire Bulbophyllum genus, with strongly reticulated leaves that maintain their distinctive foliage through maturity. Additionally, it has been one of the easier going orchids to grow, happy in warm conditions and with minimal passive ventilation and no supplemental air circulation.
“Found in Borneo in hill forests on limestone in lowlands as a hot growing, unifoliate, lithophytic species with oblong to ovoid psuedobulbs that are spaced far apart on the rhizome, reticulated, lined leaves that blooms in the summer and fall on a short, 2 flowered inflorescence with large sheathing bracts that bears fleshy, fragrant flowers.
It grows in humus spread over limestone where it has a scrambling growth habit and will flower but it often also grows for long distances and may go up a tree but will seldom if ever flower.”
Available plants are well established in 2″ pots. The last photo is representative of the plant you will receive.
