A striking red-veined species that occurs in the Malay Peninsula and far Southeastern Thailand where it is often found on granite riverbanks.  Begonia wrayi can grow quite tall! In terrarium conditions, it can easily be trimmed to a shorter height, but in the wild or a greenhouse it can grow to 3′.  Flowers are similar to sp. U679 in that they typically have an elongated green ovary with white tepals.

The last photo is representative of the plants available. They are robust plants in 2″ pots.
