Philodendron verrucosum ‘Dwarf’

This is a dwarf cultivar of verrucosum from Ecuaflora.  In my care, leaves have only gotten about 4-5?, but I’ve only been growing it about a year so cannot say for certain that it would not get slightly larger.  Other than the small size, it seems to be almost visually identical to the new growth of a standard Philodendron verrucosum.   The only difference is the leaves seem to curl downwards, whereas the standard verrucosum the leaf edges are erect, or flat to the rest of the leaf.  This one is also significantly slower growing.

  1. Not sure why I am drawn to this one. It could be that it reminds me of a philodendron (the only plant that I managed not to kill) that I had years ago. I find it comforting.
