I’ve not had good success in the past growing orchids but this one is really hard to kill.  It is equally well suited to life as a house plant as a terrarium plant and is tolerant of a wide variety of conditions.  If grown as a terrarium plant it likes to be mounted to treefern without much or any sphagnum.  If grown as a house plant, a well drained pot of sphagnum works well if you allow the sphagnum to get crispy on the top between waterings.  Mine is growing in a west facing window but it would likely do fine in a south or east facing window as well.
