Begonia chlorosticta ‘green’

This stunning Begonia species is native to Borneo, and does well in terrariums with good air circulation.  In my experience it is a slow growing plant, and prone to melting suddenly.  When established it can form a large plant nearly 2′ in height.  I’ve had it for years though, and it’s never gotten more than 8″.  Maybe you will have better luck 🙂

There is also a red form of this species in cultivation, but I can’t seem to find it available.  This one below is the green type, even though there is some red in the leaves.
