So following along with the same idea that Emily and I thought would be helpful, here is a small assortment of rocks. Of course this is just a tiny sampling and in many locations there is a wide variety of stones. For those trying to pick out some rocks for your tank or maybe even making some artificial ones, we are hoping these photos may help. There are situations where there is some uniformity in the rocks, but even in these areas, if you look you will find variety. Some of the rocks pictured have algae, lichen, and moss growing on them giving them even more character. I included the names of some frogs that occurred in the area. I really don’t know the value of doing that…but I did it anyway!
