This beautiful Ecuadorian Pearcea produces bright orange lantern-like flowers and matures at 6-10″. It is an easy to grow species and fast-growing in most terrariums. The leaves can reach 6″ but it often stays around 4-5″ in the terrarium. The foliage is large enough to withstand trampling by the larger dart frog species. Depending on growing conditions, the leaf venation ranges from white to pink. This species is very fast to root, usually only taking a few weeks.
