This is a little patch of forest in Southern Peru, I think it was by a village called Victoria. We turned off the main road and headed up the mountain into some higher elevation forest, passing through clouds and trees with silvery bark, covered in bromeliads and orchids. The forest was a short hike up the mountain, past a small cemetery decorated with water holding containers and some hydrangea. I don’t know what the significance was but have always wondered. We didn’t come across any frogs up here but the forest had an abundance of beautiful plants, and being rather high up, the visibility into the valley was excellent when the wind picked up and moved the clouds.
