Philodendron species (section Pteromischium?)

By Chuck Nishihira

Here’s another beautiful and unidentified species of Philodendron that may be in the section Pteromischium.  It has proven to be trouble free in growing, other than being painfully slow!  It is slightly fleshy, slightly shiny leaves have a pretty blue tinge to them.  The leaves start of with a yellowish color and change as they mature.  The wide shape of the leaves are also attractive.  Especially so against the delicately winged petioles.  Hailing from Peru, it would make a wonderful deposit site for small Ameerega. For now the only animal that calls it home is a little spider.
